October Essentials Card

I love the Fall! I always feel my most creative when the weather gets colder and we are forced to take shelter in our cozy homes. I felt like creating a card for my friends and family that celebrated the change of season.

This card is hand painted with watercolors and finished in Photoshop.  Printed with archival ink on recycled card stock and paired with a muted orange envelope. Enjoy!

Buon Natale!

Or Merry Christmas in Italian! I was inspired by my trip to Italy this summer and decided to create a holiday card. Visiting Italy and learning about who I was and where all of my traditions came from was the most fulfilling experience of my life. Learning about how brave the families were that immigrated over to the US. Taking their old Italian traditions and mixing them into a new place. I am so proud to call myself not just Italian, but an Italian American!

Wedding in Wine Country

I got home last night and at my front door was letter!  I know it sounds silly, but with all the email and texting these days I get extremely excited when I get a piece of real mail. I knew exactly what it was when I went to open it.  One of my best friends is getting married! NYC meets Sonoma wine country! I had so much fun designing this for my friend and her wonderful fiance.  They truly have a one of a kind love story! Congrats!

The Luck of the Draw

'Tis the season to be creative!  Taking on the challenge of another calendar swap for my mom. Four seasons, four suits!

And because the party is a poliana, it truly is "The Luck of the Draw"! Enjoy!

Meant to bee...

Brand Identity for a wedding stationary and event details company in Philadelphia.  If you weren't aware, bees can be super fun to illustrate and hand draw with an ink quill pen if you are willing to take the time.  Here are a few different options I gave the client. Enjoy the flight!

17th Annual Calendar Party!

For the past 17 years my mother has had a calendar party poliana.  It can get pretty crazy with up to 30 woman fighting for "Bigger Boxes to write in" or "the funniest quotes".  It is a time to look forward to each year, wondering which calendar I will have for the next 12 months. My mother always makes me design an invite for her friends.  This year I decided to spice it up, step away from the computer and remember the importance of taking your time and going back to the basics. This design represents the change of season within the letters of that special word that represents time to come and time past.

Wedding in a field of Poppies!

On a beautiful May afternoon a young man and a woman got married in a field of poppies... I believe that is how my brother would tell it.  And what a wonderful wedding it was, perfect weather, beautiful music, and a pop of color. Check out the colors and fun we had with this poppy inspired wedding at the John Audubon Center in Audubon, PA!

ha! Heather & Alex get hitched

Alex and I got married on April 10th 2010!  The wedding was vintage, outdoors inspired.  With wine from Spain and an estate you could only dream of living in, Alex and I got married on a beautiful sunny April day under an old willow tree.  Here is a look at my invites.

Mood board for my wedding

Little Brother Joe

For as long as I can remember my father was always creating and building.  I felt like a hammer or screw driver was just an automatic extension of any man.  Later to find out, because of him my brothers and I were able to create and build things as well.

My younger brother was the one who followed in my fathers footsteps and actually went to school to study construction management. I had started this business card for my father about three years ago before he got sick. After he passed I opened the file back up and updated it for my younger brother.  I love you Joe! You are as amazing and talented as dad was... minus the temper!
